Lake, Fishing & Green Space
Our facility sites on over 36 acres of wooded landscape and is nestled into the back corner of the Five Oaks community. Although we are located conveniently to most places in Durham and Chapel Hill, our grounds have the feel of a remote scenic park. Just have a sit by the 7 acre lake near the woods and you’ll see what we mean.
Members can enjoy acres of green space to relax in, between the lake, open space where kids play sports, and several acres of forest.
Hike the trail around the lake and discover blackberries in June, Canadian geese chicks in July, and persimmons in October. Or, stop and challenge yourself to chin-ups on the pull-up bars.
On the forest side of the lake, members regularly enjoy catch and release fishing, with reports of bass, catfish & more. Please note that fishing is only allowed on the non-residential side of the lake. As with all of our facilities, this private club is for the use of members and their guests only.
