SUPER BOWL CHILI COOK-OFF
Sunday – February 5th 2012
Enjoy the big game on one of the Five Oaks T.V.’s in the LOFT. As with every year, we ask that you bring a pot of Chili (or Side/Dessert) to share with a crowd. This year there will be PRIZES for the following categories of food:
- MOST POPULAR CHILI
- MOST UNUSUAL CHILI
- MOST POPULAR APPETIZER
- MOST POPULAR DESSERT
In order to enter your recipe into the contest, you will need to bring a description of the dish (Name, list of main ingredients, etc) and have your food out by 6:30pm. We will have plates/bowls, spoons and napkins along with some tables and power-strips for crock-pots, but please remember to bring a serving utensil.
You may bring any dish that you like to share, whether you wish to enter into the contest or not. You are welcome to bring your favorite beverage, and we recommend a small cooler to keep it in. Five Oaks will be providing hot dogs and fixings while they last. The schedule of events is below:
- 12Noon: Annual Poker Tournament (Downstairs)
- 6:15PM: Cook-Off Contest Entries Set-Up (LOFT)
- 6:30PM: Kick-OFF – Super Bowl XLVI:
- HALF TIME: FOOD JUDGING TALLY & WINNERS ANNOUNCED (LOFT)
- ALSO: Knitting & Crochet Club: Meet downstairs from 5pm to 6:30pm!
Local Insurance Company and Five Oaks Members, The Bowen Agency: http://www.bowen-agency.com/ will supply a bunch of wings for the crowd as well!
